DateSMP uses only the browser storage needed to provide the service. We do not run advertising or third-party analytics, so there is no cookie banner.

What is stored

datesmp_session: Cookie · necessary · up to 14 days
Keeps you signed in. Set when you use a sign-in link and cleared when you sign out. It is HttpOnly, so scripts cannot read it.
Push subscription: Browser storage · optional · until you turn it off
Created only when you enable notifications, then removed when you disable them or sign out. It lets your browser receive a signal from us and carries no message content.
Service worker: Browser storage · necessary for notifications · until you turn notifications off
A small script that receives notifications while the site is closed. It does not cache or store information about you.
Interface state: Browser storage · necessary · this browser only
Small conveniences such as the tab you last had open. It stays in this browser and is never sent to us.

Cookies other people set

If you donate, the payment provider sets what it needs to process the payment and prevent fraud. That happens on its page under its policy. Nothing else on DateSMP is served by a third party.

Controlling storage

Your browser can block or delete all of this. Blocking the session cookie means you cannot stay signed in. Notifications are optional and can be switched off in Privacy. Details of how we process data are in the privacy policy.
