Who operates DateSMP
Published because Dutch and European law require it, and because anybody handing over their data is owed the name of whoever is holding it.

DateSMP has not launched publicly yet.
The operating business is being registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, so this document does not yet name it. Everything else here is accurate and applies to the service as it runs today. The identifying details land on the legal information page the moment the registration completes.

Supervisory authority
DateSMP is operated from the Netherlands, so the lead data protection authority is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. You have the right to complain to them about how we handle your data, and you do not have to raise it with us first, though we would rather you did, because we can usually fix it faster.
Disputes
DateSMP is free and sells nothing, so most consumer dispute machinery does not apply. If a disagreement arises anyway, Dutch law governs it and the courts of the Netherlands have jurisdiction. Nothing here removes a right you have as a consumer in your own country.
The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform closed in July 2025 and is no longer a route; write to us directly.

- Profiles, messages and anything else members write belong to the members who wrote them. We host it, we do not author it, and we act on reports. What we act on is set out in the community guidelines.
